Sometimes our everyday obligations become overwhelming, which causes an unorganized lifestyle- we end up living in chaos, and it causes challenges in every aspect of our life, whether at home, school, work, or relationships.
Often the difference between organized and dis-organized is the little habits we do each day without really thinking.
Chrissy Halton
An organized lifestyle will give a lot of positive energy all around- mentally, physically, and emotionally. The overall benefits are healthy and will provide you with a feeling of empowerment.
Being organized can boost your mood, save time, money, and help reduce stress
TIWIW
Once you realize that being unorganized can be detrimental to your overall happiness, getting started might be scary. The TIWIW family believes you should select the best style that fits your goals since there are different approaches to establishing new organizational habits. Luckily, we’ve collected 3 simple but genius ways to help you on your journey to experience the rewards of an organized life. Ready to get started?
- Wake up in the morning and make a list of your day’s tasks
Write it down on a piece of paper or use your notes on your phone. List everything, even the small things that will make your day’s activities efficient and help you focus on what needs to get done. This exercise can bring you a more peaceful day and a better night’s sleep because you won’t be rushing around and wasting your time trying to remember what is on your to-do list.
- Call Joe to wish him a Happy Birthday
- Go to the post office
- Meeting with TIWIW at 10:00 AM
- Pick up laundry
As you complete each task, check or cross it out. Once you see the jobs complete, you will feel a sense of accomplishment. Make a pact with yourself, “If it’s on the list, I will get it done.” However, be practical with time. Allocate enough time to complete each errand. Lists will become your best friend and will keep you on track to becoming organized. It will reduce stressful days and manage the essential tasks of the day.
2. Put back every item is in the same place; everything has a home.
These “words to live by” are 100% true. A simple method that eliminates impulse buying because you will know what you need and where it is. Putting something in the same place every time works. You will always find what you are looking for, and in the long run, it will save you time, money, and stress. Your space doesn’t become cluttered with purposeless items around you. Did you ever notice that when you have too much clutter surrounding you, it becomes more challenging to be creative, and your productivity is less? The TIWIW app is valuable with this exercise because you only add things to your Wish List that you don’t already have, really want, and that are useful.
3. Feeling Overwhelmed? Not sure where to start
Start with something or somewhere small, so you can see and appreciate the results. You might begin by organizing your bills, cleaning your closet, or dusting the furniture; it doesn’t matter where you start. A completed task will boost your self-confidence, give you a feeling of empowerment and more energy. Your days will be brighter and less stressed. Once you start organizing your personal space and things, you will notice overall positive benefits in your life; perhaps feeling a bit magically.
- less time looking for stuff = more time for activities you enjoy
- less cluttered space = clear mind = happier moments
- a clean home = positive health benefits.
- less unwanted items = more time to add to your TIWIW wish list
